It was early morning. The grass was wet with mornings dew and the air smelled fresh. Everything was beginning to awaken around her. Kakana shivered slightly from the cool breeze, that weaved its self in between the trees.
She stretched her arms in front of her as she slowly walked on a unmarked trail. She knew she shouldn't be out here in this time of day, but she missed mornings. She missed being normal; being human. The reality of it began to surface as the sun raised on the horizon. Her skin tinged slightly, but not yet painful. She began to speed up and find some sort of shelter from the sun.
